The Executive Chairman of Ijede LCDA, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, on Tuesday, paid an unscheduled visit to the ongoing free summer coaching centres being organised by the council to assess the progress of the programme and interact with the pupils.

During the visit, the council boss charged students on the need for them to be committed towards their education.

The four-week coaching programme, which commenced on Monday, August 4, across five designated centres within the council area, aimed at providing intensive academic revision, bridging learning gaps, and keeping pupils meaningfully engaged during the holiday.

While addressing the pupils, the Council Chairman commended the head teachers for their dedication to raising the standard of education in the community.

‘’I encourage you to take your studies seriously, be a good ambassador of your parents, and make the most of this opportunity to prepare ahead for the new session.’’

Mrs. Adewara, Head Teacher of Anwar-UI-Islam Primary School, applauded the Council Chairman for her consistent investment in education across Ijede LCDA.

She noted that the initiative has greatly enhanced pupils’ learning outcomes.
